Is Validation a Sure Fire Way of Increasing Visibility?

The answer to this question is both yes and no. When creating web design pages, it is true that you will make your website more visible through search engines if your coding is correct and has been validated. However, going through the validation process for any website, such as an ecommerce site, does not provide absolute guarantees. Keep in mind that the validation process of web design pages means you ensure your coding is accurate. Even so, unless you go through the process of testing your site with a number of browsers, you have no guarantee that the validation is working.

Additionally, the goal when creating an ecommerce website for example is to have web pages without any errors whatsoever but if you are the creator and administrator for a number of different sites, keeping up on everything can be exhaustive. Unfortunately, there is simply not enough time in the real world for this.  Therefore, many web designers will look to see if the site is doing okay without validation and if so, they may not even go through the process. If you have time, we recommend you have your HTML and other coding validated but if not, and the site is doing well, it may not be necessary. As the administrator, you will need to make that decision on a per site basis, creating web design pages that are perfect or as near perfect from the start.
